Capacity uses Matthews automated batch picking carts to pick multiple orders into totes, maximizing the efficiency of each pass through the distribution center. The totes travel to two-sided put walls so items can be rapidly scanned and sorted into individual ecommerce orders. As lights direct the correct sortation on one side, lights on the other side direct employees to completed orders for packing into cartons.
Next, the cartons flow through a print and apply labeling system and a shipping sorter managed by our warehouse execution system. Matthews’ end-to-end solution adds speed and quality for a variety of Capacity’s customers and fulfillment channels including ecommerce, subscription boxes and retail replenishment.
