Improve efficiency in new or existing tilt-tray, bombay, cross-belt and other automated loop sorters
CINCINNATI, OH (December 26, 2015) — Matthews Automation Solutions’ brand – Pyramid – provides software and control solutions for automated loop sorter installations, and significantly improves the performance of pre-existing sortation systems through “re-control” retrofits. Pyramid will share examples of loop sorter automation control and software at MODEX 2016 in Booth 1037d.
Utilizing Pyramid control and software, both new deployments and re-control of existing continuous loop sorters—including cross-belt, tilt-tray, bombay and other types—can be found in numerous distribution centers servicing a variety of industries and product types. These include retail, direct-to-consumer (DTC), apparel and footwear, health and beauty and more. The sorters provide high-speed unit or parcel sortation for DTC order fulfillment, retail order fulfillment, shipping operations, returns processing and other applications.
Pyramid provides seamless integration with the case/tote sortation automation, warehouse management system (WMS), enterprise resource planning (ERP) software or other distribution center material handling automation involved in the process.
Giving users real-time supervision and direction of their sorting equipment, Pyramid’s WCS can integrate the customer’s complete distribution center, including the loop sorters, so that existing sorters are unified systems. Pyramid often “re-controls” legacy tilt tray sorter controls as well, working closely with operations management to ensure zero downtime while integrating the existing interfaces to the new systems without any modifications to the existing WMS, ERP or other systems.
