Pyramid, an independent supplier of material handling software and controls, to showcase Pyramid Director WES™ in Booth 1037d.
CINCINNATI, OH (January 7, 2016) — Pyramid, a Matthews Automation Solutions’ brand, provides software and control solutions to a variety of end users, systems integrators, distributors and material handling original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). Pyramid will highlight its Pyramid Director WES™ warehouse execution software and controls—particularly suited to meet the high-throughput, complex order fulfillment needs of omni-channel and direct-to-consumer operations—and share examples of recent installations at MODEX 2016 in Booth 1037d.
Director WES translates inputs from an operation’s information systems—including warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems—with sophisticated algorithms to receive and process orders. It then synchronizes and directs multiple, disparate automation technologies via an integrated material handling equipment (MHE) warehouse control software (WCS). The result is cohesive system management, balanced workflows and coordinated control of different systems to enhance order flow, accuracy and fulfillment speed.
Utilizing integral, real-time decision engines embedded within the Director WES software and controls, the system optimizes automated processes, such as: product flow, storage, retrieval, picking, sorting, order processing, packaging, packing slip printing/inserting, shipment labeling and shipment of inventory. It then intelligently integrates those processes at all points within an operation. Because Director WES removes silos of automation for better order fulfillment execution, it is ideal for multi-channel order fulfillment operations that require advanced organization across disparate technologies in order to accomplish complex order distribution processes.
With a proven history of interfacing with virtually every commercially-popular WMS brand, Director WES has a successful track record of supporting operations utilizing Manhattan, High Jump, Red Prairie, Oracle/Retek, SAP, DAX and EXE, as well as custom, home-grown and other systems.
“For many years, numerous major retailers have utilized our Pyramid Director WCS warehouse control software to optimize efficiency and performance across a wide variety of popular material handling automation systems,” explains Mukesh Ram, founder of Pyramid.
“These include tilt-tray, bomb-bay and cross-belt loop sorters; case sorters like sliding shoe; conveyor controls; auto-bagger systems and auto-boxing systems; packing slip printing and inserting; print-and-apply labeling; put walls and other paperless fulfillment systems; and more,” he continues. “Director WES incorporates all of that functionality, while simultaneously providing managers and supervisors with valuable, real-time visibility into key operations via dashboards and key performance indicator (KPI) data.”
A highlights reel of Pyramid’s recent automated fulfillment installations—utilizing Pyramid Director WES to synchronize and streamline complex operations utilizing sortation and conveyor controls, auto-bag/auto-box document insertion and auto-print/apply labeling—will be on display at Booth 1037d throughout MODEX 2016 in Atlanta, Georgia—April 4-7, 2016.
