STIQ Ltd (styleintelligence.com), a publisher of market industry reports focusing on supply chain technology, robotics, and warehouse automation, has shared their Picking Automation Report for 2025. The report shares warehouse picking fulfillment activity and various automation solutions for both eaches and cases, including systems such as pick-to-light and voice picking.
Mike McManus, Vice President and General manager of Matthews Automation Lightning Pick, contributed to the report along with 30 other global stakeholders in companies providing warehouse picking automation and software solutions.
When asked about our primary customer industries, McManus answered, “Our primary customers fall into two categories, system integrators and end users. 3PLs make up a good part of our business and we see more coming. Integrators will come up with a project that has many components and part of what they need is light-directed order fulfilment. So, we might Integrate a picking system as part of a larger project that way as well. Some years you’ll have more integrator business and others more direct. COVID ran up integration projects a little bit. Now it’s returning to a more of an even split.”
